The Tortoise & The Hare (sort of)

When Indy messaged me to ask if I'd be interested in photographing her turtle (Poseidon) with her bunny (Smokey) in a Tortoise & The Hare style photoshoot, I believe my intial reaction was DUH! No brainer.

Super stoked with how they came out and that through playing their characters, we somehow managed to capture a little bit of Poseidon and Smokey's real personalities too. I've included some individual shots of them as well because when you get rockstars like this in front of your camera, you shoot all you can.

Bidibid and her Babies

A little while back I was contacted by the lovely Diane Gaskin. She's based in Feilding and carefully and responsibly breeds the most beautiful Sphynx cats you've ever seen. Some of you guys might know Benedict and Delilah who I previously photographed - those two came from Diane. She's fantastic. Anyway, she wanted someone to document her cat Bidibid's pregnancy and her kittens. So we arranged to do three shoots. One in the last few days of her pregnancy, one of the newborn kittens and then another when the kittens were about a month old. It's been such a lovely thing to be a part of so I thought I'd collate some of my favourite pictures from the sessions here so that they'll tell her story.

I shall stop yammering now and make with the cute.

Springtime Babies

I've been on the lookout for some gorgeous farm animals to photograph for a while now and with Spring fast approaching, I knew there would be some super cute babies on the way so I did a bit of a call out amongst my friends to see if anybody knew of any babies I could photograph. As luck would have it, my lovely friend Casi put the word out to Jody Robinson-Wildey to get in touch. She has a dream home with a fantastic array of cuties waiting to be photographed. The best part is, they're all pets! So I didn't have to come away at the end feeling sad.

At the time they were photographed the two lambs (Mint and Sage) were just a couple of weeks old and the two calves (Willow and Olive) were around 8 weeks. SO cute and friendly!

A Lamb Called Little

A little bit more of my time with Little the Lamb because his cuteness could not be contained on facebook alone.

I was recently contacted by the very lovely Anu Sefton who is currently fostering animals for a local animal rescue centre called Benji & Friends.

She had 3 kittens that she was trying to find new homes for and would I be interested in photographing them?
